Mehran Karimzadeh

I am currently Head of AI and Founding Engineer at Network Bio. In the past I have worked as AI Scientist at Xaira Therapeutics, contributing to the X-Cell Virtual Cell model, and before that at Exai Bio Inc., developing deep learning models for diagnostic applications. I am interested in leveraging deep learning for personalized medicine applications, particularly leveraging multi-modal datasets for patient stratification and identifying biomarkers of drug response. I have contributed to deep learning models for liquid biopsy and cellular perturbation, including Orion, Exai-1 (cover article, Nature Machine Intelligence 2025), and X-Cell (pre-print 2026).
